Children in a post-apocalyptic era?

Your an active reader of this blog: if your following all the advice given here then you have a good chance of surviving the end of the world, right? If you survive, then there is a good chance your children will to. Bringing children in the secure environment of modern society can be a great challenge, imagine bringing up a child in a lawless world full of unknown fears....

If the world was ever to rehabilitate itself after a disastrous crisis, it wouldn't be your generation to do it, it would be your children, or even their children's children. Look at the bigger picture. This makes education extremely important, it is crucial your children grow up on the correct values which our current society is based on today. 

What to teach your child:

1. Sharing, Equal Distribution and Fairness - In the new world, it is important for your child to be able to share out resources fairly in order to maintain the growth of society in the new world.
2. Basic English and maths skills - Communication is an extremely useful skill and it always will be, especially in the new world. Being able to weigh out food, resources and medicine can save lives.
3. Agriculture and working on the land - In the new world scavenging will only remain a viable tactic for so long, sooner or later you will have to begin farming and growing your own food and materials.
4. All information handed out on this blog - The information found here is useful to you, your wife, your grandmother, your neighbour and your children. Teach them all the things I have taught you, let them use the knowledge wisely and to its fullest capacity. 

Nurturing the future generation will be a key step in order to rehabilitate society when the world goes tumbling down. Rebuilding civilization won't be a quick and easy errand, it will take centuries of hard work.
